RIAdventure 360 Cruise – Just keeps getting better!

We’ve got a last minute line up change, sadly Ted won’t be able to make it.

BUT

we’ve got an incredible replacement! Greg Burch, from the Adobe Mobile team. You know the guys working on cool things like the Flex Mobile framework, Flash and iPhone stuff.

Yeah the mobile aspect of Adobe RIA on the cruise just went through the roof!! Don’t worry, we won’t be neglecting the rest of the RIA space. How could we with the likes and Ryan Stewart! Doug McCune, Sam Rivello, and Faisal Abid

Oh and in case you haven’t checked the tentative schedule, Faisal’s gonna be talking mobile too :)

This cruise will be something you’re gonna regret missing. If the conversations in hallways at conferences like 360|Flex, CFUnited, MAX, etc are something you enjoy and geek out on, well this will be almost two weeks of 100% hallways, conversation, geeking out, with a tropical paradise as the backdrop!

Register now, time’s running out, and boat is filling up.

PayPal X Innovate 2009 is next week!

Sadly Tom and I won’t be at Innovate 2009. Not for lack of interest either. With Tom consulting now, and me being swamped with Conference work, well, our travel budget has temporarily shrunk. Why should you go? PayPal is opening up its platform to developers. For any developer who has needed a flexible, global payments solution, this is a very big deal. It will simply life for many developers who have struggled with integrating payments. As well, it opens up the doors for finally making money from doing what you are passionate about, something we both encourage.

I can’t even tell you how many times as a developer, AND a consumer I’ve wished for better integration with payment solutions. Not to mention, now that micro-payments are becoming the norm, it just makes sense to make collecting money easier for everyone involved.

And, because PayPal likes us, we can offer 10 free passes to the first 10 people who see this :)

Once you check out the event details, hit up the following special URL to redeem your FREE pass and register. On this page you will find a link in orange “Enter Discount Code”, please enter PP360CON. This should bring the price of the ticket to “$0” for you. Please register as soon as possible to receive your free pass.

The PayPal team has a great speaker lineup, including Tim O’Reilly as one of the keynotes. Attending will be some of the most innovative developers in the world of mobile, consumer electronics and financial services. Early adopters will demonstrate how they’re already building businesses on the PayPal platform.

All conference attendees will receive exclusive access to not-yet-released PayPal APIs. You’ll also get the chance to work directly with PayPal engineers and other developers during hands-on labs and code-and-build sessions and interact with PayPal’s leadership team.

360|MAX Sessions selected. AWESOME stuff!

As if you needed any more reasons to attend Adobe MAX, we’ve locked down the line up for 360|MAX. Not that you need a reason to attend MAX, but we’ll definitely be bringing the AWESOME to MAX this year, don’t miss it!

It’s gonna be an awesome time! Make sure you check out the schedule page of the 360|MAX Wiki!

Alos make sure you you rcheck out the RIAdventure site. Some awesome topics forming there! More on that super soon! We’ve got some great sponsors supporting the event! Oh and of course, registration for RIAdventure also gets you a pass to 360|Flex San Jose (hint, early March. BIG Adobe news) which last time sold out. Think it won’t this time?

Plus it’s RIA on a boat! Come on!

Go on a RIAdventure and get a free 360|Flex Ticket

RIAdventure is going to be an awesome time.  There’s no doubt about it.  The conversations are going to be amazing.  How could they not be with all that brainpower from the speakers and attendees.

It’s a cruise though.  While it’s a perk for some, we realize that it’s a detriment to others, particularly those with anal bosses.  (Don’t tell them we said that, okay?)  Therefore we’ve been noodling on, “How can we make it more attractive for people to come?  What can we give them?”

A t-shirt didn’t really seem to cut it.  A Doug McCune beer koozie, probably not gonna push you over the edge.  What’s the most valuable thing 360|Conferences has to offer?  A ticket to what will likely be a sold out show, that’s a pretty cool item, no?

We sure hope so, because today we’re announcing that those who join us at RIAdventure will also get a ticket to 360|Flex next, included in their registration.  ”A 360|Flex ticket for $300 bucks, plus I get to go to RIAdventure! Sign me up!”  While we haven’t formally announced it yet, the next 360Flex will be the last weekend of February, 2010 in San Jose.  We’re just awaiting confirmation from eBay on the space and we’ll be good to announce.  (Unlike other shows, we just can’t bring it on ourselves to announce without a firm date and location, as tempting as it is.)

Now, all you west coasters, this deal is for you.  Fly out to join us on the boat and then drive over to get into 360|Flex for free.  Register now and we’ll see you aboard, matey!  :)
