In case you missed it, we’ve teamed up with Flextras to offer a great contest to our out of work colleagues, or even to those looking to get into Flex.
It’s really easy. Maybe you’ve been laid off, maybe you’re a java guy thinking about Flex. in either case, just email us at info AT 360flex DOT com with your name, experience as a developer, and whether you’re interested in Flex, or just out of work, but already doing Flex.
That’s it. Jeffry and I will pick 5 people and each one will get a free pass to 360|Flex DC ($599 value) AND a $200 honorarium from Flextras to use as you like. The honorarium more than covers a night at the Hilton, reducing your expenses considerably.
This is a great opportunity if you’re short on money, or your company won’t invest in you learning Flex. You’ll come away from 360|Flex more than prepared to jump into Flex. If you’re unemployed, well you might not be by Wednesday night!

One of the great things about 360|Flex are the parties.
That’s not to say the content isn’t top notch, it’s way more than top notch.

The parties are onsite, right at Ebay. We bust out the Rock Band, the beer, the appetizers, and just geek out.
The parties are a a great place to unwind after having insane amounts of knowledge pushing into your head all day. You can enjoy a beer, chat up an Adobe engineer, get your Beastie Boys on, whatever.

360Flex – The Hotel and group rate!
Normally everyone has to stay at one of the two hotels nearby, and walk or light rail, or drive over.
This time we’re trying something different. We’re going to be staying downtown (near bars that stay open past 8!), at the Downtown San Jose Marriott
There’s an awesome bar on site, and a great restaurant, and it’s right on the VTA line so you can come and go to the conference.
But wait I’m not done :)
The Marriott has agreed to provide a shuttle loop in the morning and evening for an hour each time to shuttle everyone back and forth Monday – Wednesday. Just be outside ready to go, and you’ll be on your way to Ebay Town Hall.
Also, every attendee staying at the Marriott will get free internet in their guest room. Just in case you have to work when you’re not partying with us :)
