360Flex Road Trip!
We’re in the final stretch for 360|Flex San Jose 2010. Everything is coming together just nicely as this proves to be another amazing show. If you’re on the fence about coming, it’s a bit late to get cheap flights. However, it’s never too late to plan a road trip.
Thinking back to our very first 360|Flex, I remember the “Man Funk” road trippers. They weren’t soul brothas with skills like James Brown. No, they were the other kinda funk. The one that fills a car after a few days with unshowered men. :) I won’t embarrass them by calling them out by name, alright maybe I will. I’ll call out Rance Patterson because we’re now good friends. He, his brother and another innocent soul braved a road trip from Boise, Idaho all the way down to San Jose. I’m sure glad they did too, because Rance is a hoot and one of the many gems I’ve met during my tenure with 360|Flex.
360Flex – Wiki
If you saw the announcement of BOF sessions, you know we have a wiki we use for the ad hoc stuff around the conference.
We updated the wiki for one more bit of ad hoc. Activities.
If you’re planning a trip to Adobe HQ or a specific bar one night, or a movie on Wednesday or lunch on Saturday before the conference, whatever. Post it on the activities page of the wiki.
This way folks looking for the fun, can find it easily ;) It truly does suck to have to hunt for fun :)
On the main page of the wiki is also a few links for hotel searches in the area. If you missed the room block, shame on you, but we don’t want ya sleepin’ on the street, so check those links for other options.

We’re doing a double whammy chat this week on the 360|Flex Speaker Chat! Jun heider and Eric Fickes, who are doing a 2 part talk on RIA, Backend support and even Silverlight, are together for the chat. Between the two of them there’s nothing you can’t ask about RIA, ColdFusion, Flash development, heck ask what developing in Silverlight is like if you’re curious :)
