360|Flex – The line up – The Schedule
OK. We’re more or less locked down on the schedule. I’ve got a few things to work out, but didn’t want to delay posting the schedule.
So without further ado, you can download the PDF schedule HERE.
We’re probably gonna skip the gCal unless a lot of people really cry out for it. We’ll have the iPhone app, and hopefully android app (Sorry blackberry folks)
Until then, the PDF is what you get.

360Flex – Call for Papers NOW Open
You read right!
The Call for papers is now OPEN. Don’t delay, it’s not gonna be open long. We don’t have time for months long submission windows this time. The window closes August 2nd. Speakers will be announced the following week.
That’s right, just 2 weeks to submit your talk. I know you can do it, I know you can bust out your best stuff and show the Flex community what you got!
Here’s how it works!
You send an email to info AT 360flex DOT com with all the following
Name
Blog or twitter (Whatever you want on the speakers page)
Session Title
Session Description
Session level (100 = beginner, 300+ = uber advanced)
track (App Dev, Integration (ie. CF, PHP, etc with Flex Frontend), Custom Components, Business of Flex)
Speaker BIO
Speaker headshot
That’s it! Easy peasy! Now get on it!! You don’t have a lot of time!!!

360Flex – The east coast is tough!
We’ve promised the east coast crowd, an honest to god east coast 360|Flex since… well since our first event back in ’07
We’re keeping that promise, finally, but it sure ain’t easy! The east coast is expensive, for an event like 360|Flex. We don’t charge a lot to get in, and most hotels costs more than the price of a ticket to 360|Flex. That’s hard to think about, staying at the hotel for the event is more than the event. At least bigger events, it’s even, which makes it less noticable :)
THAT SAID. We’re really close to locking in a hotel that should do nicely for 360|Flex, and still keep to our not breaking the bank mentality. I sure can’t wait to see how an east coast 360|Flex is responded to, it will certainly dictate whether there’s any more… no pressure :)
Stay tuned, the next day or two will see the announcement of time, location, and call for papers. Don’t miss out!

360Flex – Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!
We closed the post conference survey last night, hope you took a few minutes to participate.
Those surveys are super huge for us. They give our attendees a chance to tell us what they think of the event. Often times people are brutally honest, and we want that. If you had a terrible time, we want to know about it and make the next conference better. If you had an awesome time, we want to know that too.
Besides that type of feedback, the survey gives us some insight into our attendee demographic. That helps us with sponsorships (Adobe likes to see how many new Flex developers we help bring to the community, etc), and with stuff like food ordering (we heard you guys loud and clear on that one) and even shirts. The survey also helps us plan for the future; locations, sizes, etc.
As a way to say thanks for doing one last small thing to help make 360|Flex better, we pick two surveys at random (using Random.org to select a row number) to give prizes to.
Hopefully next time we’ll get better than 1/3 participation in the survey, I mean, come on guys :)
