360MAX – Submit your topic!

I’m happy to announce that once again, we’ll be bringing the special 360|Flex brand of community awesomeness (unicorns) to Adobe MAX.

Today officially opens the window to submit topics. Previously we’ve done it as a wiki and more or less a free for all. This time around we’re trying something different.

we have a theme of sorts, The 3 Ms: Mobile, Multitouch, multi-device. We’d love to really raise the bar for the MAX agenda with some deep dive, kick ass, mind blowing stuff on these Ms.
You don’t have to submit something on one of the Ms, but we’re trying to pack as many as we can in, so keep that in mind.
We’re curating the content this time. We love the openess of the wiki approach, but it’s a bit to hectic, and first come first served. So use the submission form (pay attention, you’ll see forms like this one more often from now on.)
As always the rules are easy. You have to be attending MAX. We don’t get passes for our speakers to use, so you have to be attending already. We do have some passes we’ll attach to sponsorship. They’ll be expo only, but that’s an option if you’d like to present but weren’t planning on attending, saves you a few bucks :)

We’ll publish the schedule as soon as we can. MAX is gonna rock, if it’s within your budget to do MAX and 360|Flex, you should do it. If you have to choose, choose 360|Flex ;) we’re smaller and need your money more than MAX does :)

Come to think of it, go ahead and register right now for 360|Flex DC. It’s gonna be a great show, kick ass line up, and frankly the best place to get this kind of Flex/AIR/AS action. 40 sessions on nothing but this stuff, that’s bad ass!

360Flex – Why you need to be at the Hilton

You’re coming to 360|Flex right? Then you should be staying at the conference hotel.

Why?

Why drive/walk/train/etc. from one hotel to the next, missing the evening parties, etc.
An awesome room rate. Even paying less elsewhere you then have to travel, that sucks.
The room rate is pretty darn good!
Why miss out on the fun that happens at the official hotel? late nights at the bar, conversations around the restaurants, and in hallways.
Meeting up with folks for a drink, etc. without having to “Let me go to my hotel to drop my stuff off” (THAT SUCKS)
PLUS, we need you to be at the hotel. We have a room block we need to fill. Part of doing business with hotels means filling our room blocks, this keeps the cost of 360|Flex down. Filling rooms gives us discounts on other stuff, that we pass on to you guys.

Go book your room now, heck even if you haven’t bought your ticket (that’d be silly, but still) go get your room before the room block fills up.

Remember the room block price extends 3 days before and after 360|Flex, so you can come early and stay late! (that means you can leave on thursday and not miss the last general session)

While you’re at it, might as well register! Don’t miss out on the east coast’s biggest Flex, AIR, Actionscript conference!

In the Valley? Not the Hidden one, the Silicon one. If so you know that Flex is as hot as ever!

Tom and I are gonna do a one day, all day training event in San Jose at Ebay in November. Tom’s really excited to get a full day of training going on. He’s missed it, since moving to AZ and leaving behind SilVaFUG, and now deciding that training is his calling, it’s gonna rock!

We’ll be opening the registration ASAP, but if you’re in the Valley, keep the 7th open for an all day, Flex Hands-On training day, for only $149

360MAX – Digital Primates Paying it Forward!

When Digital Primates came to us to sponsor 360|MAX, part of the sponsorship package was a free pass to MAX. Seeing as how they’ll be there anyway, they told us we could give it to someone in need of a ticket.

It just so happened Ali Daniali, Charity Code Jam Master, was in need of just such a ticket.

Digital Primates is a great company, and long time supporter of ours, and it’s cool to see companies like them and Simplified Logic give back to the community in these ways. In case you’re curious Simplified Logic gave all their extra 360|Flex passes for ATL, away to the community, rather than not use them.

360Flex – Going to MAX? Save on 360Flex San Jose

360MAX_Logo We’ve done this before and it only makes sense to do it again, especially in these still a bit troubling economic times.

As you may know tickets went on sale for 360|Flex San jose 2010 a few days ago, well if you’re going to be at Adobe MAX in LA this year, if you stop by the 360|MAX Unconference you can pick up a ticket to 360|Flex for 50% off. That’s $250 for the 4 days of Flex/AS/AIR awesomeness you know and love.Oh and we’ve already started working on the Charity Code Jam with Ali, so be prepared to write some code for a good cause!

The first 100 tickets to 360|Flex are $499, but at MAX, while the unconference is running you can find Tom and I and buy a ticket for $250. 5 minutes after MAX ends on Wednesday, sale is over, Saturday night before MAX, sale hasn’t started. You can’t buy online, you have to find Tom or myself. Don’t worry we’re easy to spot, we’ll be sitting at 360|MAX all three days.
