360Flex next stop: Indianapolis!
Posted on | November 11, 2008 | 6 Comments

It’s official! We’ve selected Indianapolis as our next stop. It’s “east coast” time, which for us means east of the Mississippi. :) The show will run May 18 to 20, 2009 at the Crown Plaza Indy. The venue was also the first Union Station in America, which offers up some cool perks we’ll blog about later. We’ll also be in town during race week, so the city will be all abuzz with activities: some related to 360|Flex and some related to the big race.
We’ve got a lot of cool stuff in store for everyone. Tom and I have really been focusing on making 360|Flex better for everyone: attendees, speakers and sponsors. We’ve added some cool sponsorship opportunities, which I think folks will like, but possibly even better is a new pricing structure on registration fees that we’re trying out.
We had the team rate vs the non-team rate and it’s worked out well for us. However, some people only have a team of 2 or 3, while others had teams of 7. In the past, that meant that the sub-4 numbers didn’t qualify and the team of 7 had to buy one team and 3 regular priced tickets. This sort of eliminates that whole mess. If you act fast, you get the discounted rate regardless of how many tickets you buy. There will be three ticket types available, all first come first served.
100 tickets at our classic price of $360.000
200 tickets at our current price of $480.00
100 tickets at new price of $550.00
The reason for the $550.00 is that as we’ve been looking at our numbers. We realized that our current model had a lot of our attendees registering in under the last 30 days. Unfortunately we have to order just about everything for the conference, well before that: SWAG, food, etc. Previously we’d be stuck with whatever number of things we ordered the first time around and that was that. By upping the charge on the last group of people to register, we’ll be able to buy the things we need. Things that then have to be rush ordered and rush shipped, which equates to more expensive hence the bump in price.
See you at 360|Flex Indy!! Feel free to spread the word and put the official logo (smaller version is here) up on your site!

Sounds exciting, I hope to be able to attend.
Two notes, however, the Eastern Timezone is not for all places east of the Mississippi river. Chicago is Central timezone and east of the Mississippi. Also, your official logo graphic says “May 18-20, 2008″, shouldn’t that read 2009?

@Demian
Thanks for the catch! We were just testing ya! All fixed now.
As for east, we just mean East vs West like rap music and sport divisions, not Eastern timezone. :)

Indy will be good on the temp that time of year. Typically in the low 70s.
The location for the conference is good, there are plenty of restaurants in the area, shopping, etc… We are excited to have the conference in Indy. Look forward to seeing you all again!
